KOREAN HANDBAGS

Hehe out of nowhere, today I want to talk about handbags that I bought here.  I knew that I already have handbags which my husband bought a few in States before about 5 years ago. I have been using it when I was working and after I quit, I just use a few times as most of my travelling time I prefer to use backpack to stuff all my kids necessaries.

After a year in Korea I "terjebak" or involved without noticing haha, please....in buying Korean Handbangs. There are a lot of choices from different kind of brands but I just chose the plain, simple, affordable and yet very good quality no doubt. Definitely will buy more before going back to Malaysia. hehe.

ORCHID THERAPY

I don't know since when I love fresh flowers. I have been liking flowers since before but tend to turn into fresh flowers in these few months. I chose orchid as I knew it will last for a while. I bought this in December, and now February 2015 this orchid is still there. I just changed the location and make sure to water it once a week with 1/4 cup of water. I bought it fresh at Gwanjang market after my cotton hunting activity. I will definitely buy more after this knowing that will last for at least 3months. It is a good hobby for winter season as I could not do anything at my backyard.hehe..

HEART SHAPE RED VELVET CAKE

I always love this heart shape Red Velvet cake. I normally choose to do this shape when I want to separate in two different mould. For the same batter, I would get one this heart shape and another one is the rectangle shape. I have never attended any baking class, so this is normally would be the deco that I could make.haha. I love cream cheese topping with this RV cake. As far as I could remember I made this shape of cakes many times especially when we have guests in hour house as part of the dessert after the dinner. You will see more of my RV cakes later ;)

DAMIA AT SCHOOL

My Damia Tasnim. When we wanted to enroll her in school, we were so afraid if she could not cope at school, especially in the class. But after a few days, the teacher said she is a chatty girl and funny too. Oh, Alhamdulillah I am so relieved to hear that as Damia that we knew was a late warmer. Apparently, we chose to trust the teacher as we could see Damia's progress everyday. The Managing Director also told me that she is a tough girl and can fit in the school easily. Most of these picture I took from the online school newsletter. hehe..

FLASHBACK RAYA 2014, SEOUL

Flashback our Raya in Seoul last year. We sent the same picture for 'SalamPerantau' to different newspapers.haha. It was hard to find our family picture with everyone seemed all ok in the pictures. So this was the best I guess.

These were a day before when we had our final buka puasa in the Embassy. I  made 'kuih ketayap' for the Iftar.

Ammar, Balqis and a few of anak-anak kakzah for the background. ehehe..

During the Hari Raya itself, we had a Raya Celebration at the Ambassador's house. I had to make these two RV cakes as part of the festive food. Not so much picture taken during the day as we both were quite occupied with our three kids.

SAKURA AT THE BACKYARD

This was sometime in end march 2014, when the spring was here. I never thought that we were gonna have a sakura tree at our backyard. Well, as the kids were enjoying the sun here, so did me. I did spend my morning here frequently to read books, etc. Sakura see you in this coming spring!

VIDEO CALL SCENE..

This pic was sometime in May 2014 I guess looking at Daniel's haircut. This is the normal scene that I would find when they were doing the video call to Malaysia. Everyone was actually excited looking at own picture at the corner top of the mobile. haha.

CHICKEN BERIYANI

There are a few Pakistan and Indian restaurants here in Itaewon. The price is quite expensive for me eventhough it is cheaper than other international restaurant. Having tried out a few times, I can have the taste already. I bought a powder spice at the foreign mart here and gave it a try. It turned out not bad but a lighter taste than the restaurant which I like it anyway and the kids could eat it. But I love the colour tone here. I used an Indian chef technique from youtube. The rice turned out to be so light and not stick to each other. I just dumped the chicken leg at the bottom of the pot and it came out so soft despite it was all covered with the rice in the pot. After tried this first time, I repeated this many times and the whole family love it. Alhamdulillah.

MY FIRST CUPCAKES

Cupcakes!!! Now I know the excitement feeling ok making cupcakes. I could not described the feeling but I smiled all day. Eventhough the icing pattern were not so great but I really satisfied with my first try. Sayang nak makan wooo..I think I was so passionate at that time by looking at the colours varieties.haha.next time I better do pastel colors, less scary huh? haha

BIRTHDAY HANAA AND MAMA

My birthday was May 17 and Hanaa May 18. We did not have a real birthday party and what not, just ate cake and having lunch outside. We chose a Grilled fish restaurant near our place that time (currently closed already). I love this picture of three. Play, fight and hugs..Thats how they love each other. Siblings, a never end relationship.. in shaa Allah.

After eating, we went to a friend's house using this 'bas kampung'.

This was the homemade RV cake that we ate earlier in the morning of the day. This was actually my very fist RV. In the previous post, I have posted about RV but that was for a later event.heh...pening sudahh..

NAMI ISLAND, AUTUMN 2014

Nami Island, a must visit place when you come to Korea. We were there during last autumn for our first time.

We took this picture when we about to go back.haha

We went there by ITX. We departed from the house right after Subuh which was 530 am and arrived at the Yongsan station in 15 minutes. We then took the 6am train and arrived at the Gapyeong Station about 50 minutes later.

Took this picture in front of Gapyeong Station. We then took taxi to the jetty

While waiting for hubby to buy the ferry and entrance ticket, the.se little kiddos walked around and took pictures

We were among of the earliest visitors here. 730 am, we were in the Island already. So we took our nice and sweet time to take pictures. I love this shot!

At the early autumn, not so happening yet here.

Tadaaa, we ate "nasi goncang", that was called by all Malaysian here. See, they even gave us the glove to shake the rice and it was damn hot.

Tadaaaaa..the inside treasure! Rice, kimchi and egg. Because we were all starving, we ate them all. We also order the Tuna version too.

Hungry visitors @ Nami Island.

 Surau! Cool..

Never watched the Winter Sonata movie, but hubby did. haha. We saw a lot of people were lining up to take picture at this spot, so we also did. ehehe..

Daniel took this picture.

Flower boy!

 I love this spot too!

In Nami Library, where you could find the Surau on the second floor.

On the ferry on our way back to the main land.
